Hobsons Bay Commercial furniture was established in 1994 by Stephen Appleby.
After completing a trade in Boat building / Shipwrighting and experiencing the knowledge and use of many varied materials both in the Maritime industry and the commercial joinery industry and being taught and educated as a young apprentice by master craftsmen in many trades, I decided that for me owning and operating my own business in the commercial joinery market was my niche.
Since 1994 HBCF has built a reputation for delivering high quality joinery projects in sometimes a very demanding market place.
Our commitment has always been to supply and deliver a high quality product regardless of budget restraints and deliver on time as required.
HBCF manufactures and installs every aspect of your commercial joinery needs, from wall and ceiling panelling in many materials, boardroom tables, wall units, reception counters & desks, standard back of house units, laminate, veneer, metal, acrylic, Solid surface materials, fabrics, stone, high end polishing finishes, rigging, wiring, rope work, signage and any other requirement you may have in your joinery project.
Because of the vast experience and knowledge we have available at HBCF we often are requested to do projects that are challenging and involve the use of materials that are left of centre in our industry. HBCF loves to rise to any challenge and will endeavour to work with architects, designers and project managers to make sometimes very challenging projects very successful.
At HBCF, we have a turnkey operation for the client / head contractor.
After we have estimated and successfully won a particular project, HBCF starts to work. CAD shop drawings are done for approval, with all detailing sorted, material procurement is in place, machine shop cutting lists are drawn for manufacturing to begin, all subcontract components are sourced from our list of high quality sub contract manufacturers, polishing is completed, delivery to place of installation is done in our own commercial delivery vehicles with our own experienced delivery crew then final installation, detailing and handover is completed by highly skilled tradespersons.
